I am delighted with the DZ961F8 Steam Shower. Much better than I imagined.
The only difficuly issue with yhe installation was the drain connection to the existing drain location from the old shower. The assembly was straight forward, the components of very high quality.

THE UNIT SEEMS ON THE HEAVY SIDE, WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE IN WEIGHT IN COMPARISON TO OTHER UNITS SIMILAIR DIMENSIONS?
HOW THICK IS THE GLASS ON THIS UNI? WOULD THE WEIGHT BE SAFE TO INSTALL IN AN UPPER FLOOR BATHROOM WHERE A AN ACRYLIC JETTED BATH ONCE EXISTED?

The difference in weight compared to other manufacturers can be quite substantial. the EAGO steam showers we carry are made with all Wall Panels made of 8-10mm Tempered glass. Unlike most other manufacturers that the panels are made of cheap acrylic and 4-6mm glass. and trim and fixtures on our showers are made of metal not plastic. You will have no problem installing any of our showers in an upper floor as the weight is dispersed over several square feet of space not all in one small area.

The Wood used in our steam showers is Teak wood, This wood stands up to water very well as that is what boats used to be made out of.

The Steam Shower connects to your home using standard 3/8″ metal braided hoses same as found under a sink. We recommend getting 36″ long hoses so you can connect the shower while it is away from the walls and then pushed into place after connected and tested for any leaks.
